“BollyQueens celebrates a fascinating world of South Asian drag, unveiling the subtle undercurrents of gender issues and identities in contemporary cultures.

Multimedia & video installation artist Niranjan Kamatkar examines the layers beneath the surface of drag through his continuous timeline DV films, outlining desires and definitions of bodily existence.

Image installation artist Brent McTavish’s stylised, lightboxed duratrans contrast the glamour and kitsch of Bollywood in the South Asian drag culture, against a backdrop of London landmarks - a bold and revealing collaboration dealing with the elemental confines of contrasting cultures.
